Job Title: Front Office Agent

Job Summary:

The Front Office Agent is responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a seamless arrival and departure experience. This role requires a warm and friendly demeanor, with a focus on delivering personalized service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and interact with guests in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Process check-ins, check-outs, and room assignments
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to track room readiness
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests and dispatch bell/valet attendants as needed
  • Post guest charges and payments, process no-shows, and adjust disputed charges
  • Run daily reports and contingency lists
  • Verify rate codes and make adjustments on guest invoices
  • Block and unblock rooms according to hotel needs
  • Operate the telephone system and respond to wake-up calls
  • Notify guests of messages and record them legibly
  • Maintain knowledge of room types, hotel amenities, and features
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns
  • Solve problems efficiently and effectively
  • Demonstrate sales techniques to upsell rooms, amenities, and products
  • Maintain a neat and organized work area
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect company assets

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
  • 1+ year of relevant work experience in a similar scope and title
  • Experience within luxury brand/markets
  • Student or graduate of hotel management preferred

Work Environment:

The Front Office Agent will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changing priorities and deadlines. Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands.

Physical Demands:

The incumbent will be required to stand, stoop, bend, and crouch up to 8 hours daily. Push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
