About the Opportunity:

The selected candidate will report directly to the President & CEO and will be responsible for overseeing a substantial operating budget of $50 million, along with managing a dedicated team of 8 finance professionals. The organization prides itself on its solid financial health, as evidenced by high ratings from independent evaluators.

The CFO Role:

  • Serves as a vital member of the Administrative Management Team,
  • Contributes to the strategic direction of the organization, which is currently implementing a revised strategic plan,
  • Collaborates with the Accounting Director and Payroll Coordinator to ensure timely payroll processing,
  • Delivers financial presentations at Board meetings and provides regular updates to the Finance Committee.

Preferred Experience & Education:

The ideal candidate will possess a servant leadership approach and thrive in a mission-driven environment, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in nonprofit finance, including at least 4 years in a leadership capacity. A proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and exceptional interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role. Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems is preferred, along with experience in state contracts and financial reporting. A Bachelor's Degree is required, with an MBA or CPA being advantageous.
