Key Responsibilities
  • Execute sales strategy and initiate contact with existing and potential customers
  • Identify customer needs and sell appropriate metalworking and machine tools to meet those needs
  • Provide technical support for metalworking applications
  • Manage assigned accounts and increase sales in respective accounts
  • Establish buying influences, budgets, and purchasing criteria for assigned accounts
  • Secure and place orders, considering delivery dates and inventory levels for fulfillment
  • Develop strategic plans and accurate forecasts for accounts
  • Contact clients following sales to ensure ongoing client satisfaction and resolve complaints
Requirements
  • Machining background, manufacturing experience, or strong mechanical abilities
  • Computer literate, with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet
  • Ability to work well in a group/team setting with limited supervision
  • Prior experience in Industrial Sales and/or Distribution
  • Prior experience with metal cutting tooling and/or grinding
  • Prior experience with CNC programming and operating
  • Prior experience with machining process improvement and cost savings documentation
Work Environment

This job operates primarily in the field, with routine use of standard office equipment. The role requires driving to and from client locations, walking and standing in various environments for extended periods, and telephone and computer work.

This position may occasionally lift up to 10 pounds for product material, files, and computer printouts.
