  • Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales, and offering featured promotional sale items
  • Educate clients about terminology, features, and benefits of products to improve product-related sales and client satisfaction
  • Contact clients following sales to ensure ongoing client satisfaction and resolve any complaints
  • Remain current on client preferences, changes in local codes, and product developments by attending sales meetings, vendor training, trade shows, and reading trade journals
  • Manage time effectively, meet personal goals, and work effectively with other members of the team
  • Maintain proficiency in using personal computers, CRM tools, and other office equipment and software
Requirements
  • Machining background, manufacturing experience, or strong mechanical abilities
  • Computer literate, experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, changing, and dynamic work environment
  • Must possess strong organizational skills
  • Works well in a group/team setting with limited amounts of supervision
  • Prior experience in Industrial Sales and/or Distribution
  • Prior experience with metal cutting tooling and/or grinding
  • Prior experience with CNC programming and operating
  • Prior experience with machining process improvement and cost savings documentation
Work Environment

This job operates primarily in the field. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. This position is primarily driving to and from client locations, walking, and standing in all different environments for extended periods of time and telephone and computer work.
