Communications Director Opportunity at AIGA DC

AIGA DC is seeking a skilled Communications Director to join our dynamic Board of Directors. As a key member of our Executive Leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the creative community in the DMV region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee chapter communications and marketing efforts, ensuring consistency and quality across all AIGA DC properties.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Team to establish and enforce an Editorial Calendar, ensuring timely and engaging content.
  • Develop and oversee resources and committees to execute marketing and communications initiatives, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities for board members.
  • Monitor social media messages, comments, and general email address, directing inquiries to the appropriate team/board member.
  • Assist the President in updating chapter bylaws, setting policies, and managing operations.
Deliverables:
  • AIGA DC Communications Strategy, including editorial calendar, content grid, communications year-at-a-glance, and event recording archive.
  • Maintain Communications Process Documents, including Style Guide Reference and Process Updates.
