About the Role

Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Software Quality Engineering team. As a Manager, Software Quality Engineering, you will be responsible for providing customized design of multifactor authentication integration with products, systems, devices, and networks. You will improve and support ARC's automated identity authentication and access management system and related processes by understanding business requirements and keeping updated on environmental and system changes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead a technical QA Engineering team with a strong sense of quality ownership, participating actively in the continual improvement efforts of the SDLC. Build and maintain a test automation framework and process. Coordinate automated testing across multiple projects, devices, browsers, and environments. Identify improvements, provide support, and ensure adherence to quality automation standards. Maintain required automated test documentation and reporting.
  2. Participate on cross-functional teams/multi-site meetings and initiatives; ensure the interdepartmental integration of the automation function in software test planning. Provide expertise on feasibility of functionality and testability of ideas and requirements. Coordinate automated testing across multiple projects and environments, streamlining for efficiency and minimizing redundancy. Reduce the risk of defects and provide in-depth root cause analysis.
  3. Work with Development teams to stand up and maintain DevOps practices. Exercise good judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining solutions.
  4. Review the automation strategy and scripts to ensure they meet project goals. Review scripts that meet the project goals and department strategies.
  5. Look to improve the testing framework by creating and modifying functions. Recommend automation process improvements as needed. Define and maintain automation standards. Ensure team members adhere to standards.
  6. Provide automated testing baseline and LOE's for more complex projects and changes, as determined by project needs. Break down LOE and allocate to testing tasks as input to project plan. Approve QA change requests that are accurate and follow processes while ensuring they are clearly stated and approved in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • At least 7 years of experience as a Software Quality Analyst and/or Engineer
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience, including leading large, complex projects and/or automation initiatives
  • Experience in QA tool administration, i.e., Application Lifecycle management, TestRail, JIRA, and/or Confluence
  • Experience in automated frameworks and metrics
  • Experience in Data verification and reports testing, i.e., Jasper, Tableau
  • Experience in Data ETL and Enterprise Data Warehouses, i.e., Talend, Snowflake
  • Experience in DevOps and Test-Driven Development
  • Experience testing in a Cloud environment, preferably AWS
  • Experience in both functional and performance automated testing
  • Experience with programming; coding in C, C++, Java, JavaScript, and HTML5 preferred
  • Expert knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and automated testing tools, i.e., Selenium, Jenkins
  • Familiar with Windows, UNIX, and/or Linux environments
  • Experience working in a fast-paced web application development environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and providing process improvements
  • Certification in agile development methodology preferred
  • Strong sense of ownership and drive high results
  • Very strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly developed tactical and strategic skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
