  • 2nd Shift Schedule: Monday- Friday, 2pm- finish
  • 3rd Shift Schedule: Sunday, 9pm-finish. Monday-Friday, 12am-finish
  • Compensation: $60,000+ based on experience, with potential for up to 10% bonus.

Position Overview:

The Night Warehouse Supervisor is accountable for the overall safety, productivity, and efficiency of designated warehouse operations during the assigned shift. This role involves supervising and guiding team members while monitoring operational flow to ensure optimal utilization of personnel and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive direction from the Warehouse Manager regarding operational matters and communicate effectively with team members on a daily basis to share information and encourage teamwork.
  • Address employee concerns fairly and consistently, ensuring adherence to established practices.
  • Foster team development through coaching and mentoring, promoting a culture of engagement and growth.
  • Provide guidance, discipline, coaching, and motivation as necessary to maintain high morale and promote teamwork, pride, and quality performance.
  • Collaborate with supervisors/team leads to manage personnel assignments in line with distribution needs, ensuring timely truck departures for customer deliveries.
  • Conduct new employee orientations and annual evaluations, working with the team to maintain consistent practices.
  • Coordinate with supervisors/leads to ensure orders, reports, totes, and other supplies are prepared at all stations for the start of the shift, monitoring supplies throughout the evening and directing replenishment efforts as necessary.
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning properly, contacting appropriate personnel for prompt repairs when necessary. Communicate any truck issues with relevant management.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by processing all accidents promptly and recording all work incidents/near misses in the database.
  • Review operational flow throughout the shift, communicating with area leads to assess progress and ensure completion of all assigned tasks by the end of the shift.
  • Collaborate with the Shift Manager to address any issues that arise, such as order shortages or delivery challenges.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2 or 4-year degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience supervising multiple employees.
  • Comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations related to distribution.
  • Proficient in computer systems, including warehouse database systems, email, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Highly organized with excellent communication skills to effectively share information and lead the team.
  • Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Willingness to adhere to established safety protocols and lifting guidelines.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as required.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • May require processing paperwork in an office setting, while leading the team necessitates walking within the warehouse.
  • Continuous walking, standing, bending, lifting, and climbing may be necessary on occasion.
  • Work is conducted in a warehouse environment with exposure to noise and vibrations from materials handling equipment.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required. 2-4 years of warehouse or related experience.
