  • Shift Details: Monday- Friday, 2pm- finish for 2nd Shift; Sunday, 9pm-finish and Monday-Friday, 12am-finish for 3rd Shift.

Position Overview:
The Night Warehouse Supervisor oversees the safety, productivity, and efficiency of warehouse operations during their assigned shift. This role involves supervising and guiding employees while monitoring operational workflows to ensure optimal utilization of personnel and equipment on a nightly basis. The Night Warehouse Supervisor is also responsible for upholding company standards and policies across all operational areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive guidance from the Warehouse Manager regarding operational matters and communicate effectively with team members daily to foster a supportive environment.
  • Address employee concerns fairly and consistently, ensuring adherence to established practices.
  • Build a cohesive team through effective coaching and mentoring of supervisors and leads, promoting a culture of engagement and professional growth.
  • Provide necessary training, guidance, and motivation to maintain high morale and encourage teamwork, pride, and quality performance.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team leads to manage personnel assignments in line with distribution needs, ensuring timely departures for customer deliveries.
  • Conduct new employee orientations and annual evaluations, working with the team to maintain consistent practices.
  • Ensure that all necessary supplies, reports, and equipment are prepared and available at all workstations at the start of each shift, monitoring inventory throughout the evening to prevent disruptions.
  • Maintain all equipment in optimal working condition, coordinating with appropriate personnel for repairs when necessary, and communicate any vehicle issues to the Director of Operations and Transportation Manager as needed.
  • Promote a safe working environment by processing incidents promptly and documenting all work-related accidents and near misses in the database.
  • Review operational progress throughout the shift, communicating with area leads to ensure all tasks are completed by the end of the shift.
  • Collaborate with the Shift Manager to address any issues that arise, such as order discrepancies or delivery challenges.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 to 4 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations related to distribution.
  • Proficient in computer systems, including warehouse management software, email, and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Highly organized with excellent communication skills to effectively relay information and lead the team.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Willingness to adhere to established safety protocols and lifting guidelines.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as required.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
  • Ability to complete paperwork in an office setting while also being active within the warehouse.
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, and climbing may be necessary.
  • Work is conducted in a warehouse environment with exposure to noise and vibrations from material handling equipment.
