Role Purpose:
As a Shuttle Driver, you will be integral to our operations, responsible for transporting empty trailers to our warehouse locations and delivering full trailers to designated shuttle yard locations.
Our drivers are not just transporters; they represent our company and build lasting relationships with our customers.
In this role, you will operate tandem trailers, tractor trailers, and/or straight trucks on both intrastate and interstate routes, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Transporting empty trailers to warehouse locations and delivering full trailers to shuttle yards.
- Conducting thorough safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspections of vehicles and trailers to meet safety standards.
- Adhering to all DOT regulations and company driving policies.
- Communicating professionally with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
- Maintaining accurate route paperwork and ensuring secure transport of freight.
- Performing general housekeeping duties to keep vehicles and loading areas clean.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- Valid CDL A license.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past three years.
- Ability to work a third shift schedule, typically Sunday through Thursday nights.
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and road test.
- Current DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one.
- Physical capability to lift and move product cases weighing between 60 to 90 pounds.
