Overview
The Guest Services Coordinator role at Chanticleer Inn presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a distinctive boutique lodging experience situated on historic Lookout Mountain. The typical work hours range from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with shifts lasting between 6 to 8 hours. Under the guidance of the Chanticleer & Grandview Manager, the Guest Services Coordinator will undertake the following responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests, aligning with the organization’s mission and values.
- Exemplify appropriate interactions with guests and team members at all times.
- Engage with guests on-site, via phone, and through email to address inquiries about the property and local attractions.
- Respond promptly to guest needs and inquiries while on the premises.
- Handle transactions, including retail sales, deposits, and various payments.
- Participate in standard cash-handling procedures.
- Oversee the daily operations of the main guest house.
- Manage the opening and closing procedures of the main guest house each day.
- Ensure the pool and recreational areas are well-maintained and safe for guests.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify any issues or maintenance needs.
- Alert management to any property maintenance concerns.
- Assist in the setup, maintenance, and operation of food service during morning and evening hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and stock in bathrooms and other non-guest room areas.
- Facilitate guest check-ins and check-outs, including room transfers when necessary.
- Ensure the security of property and assets at all times.
- Adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures consistently.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Prior experience in hospitality or a related field is preferred, along with a willingness to undergo training.
- Possess a friendly demeanor and a commitment to contributing positively to the team.
- Exhibit a professional and courteous image to guests and colleagues.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills in both individual and small group settings, valuing team input.
- Ability to comprehend operational documents.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
- Regularly use hands and fingers; capable of lifting/moving up to 40 pounds; frequent walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching; must be able to stand for extended periods.
