About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team at Relativity Space. As a key member of our Manufacturing team, you will be responsible for owning a major primary structure assembly station for our Terran R rocket, as well as all associated flight parts and assembly processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define operational strategies and work to build upon existing methods for primary structure assembly
  • Support the shop floor through live issue resolution and provide upstream feedback to innovate the next generation of manufacturing technology
  • Generate high-quality work instructions, specifications, and best practices across multiple high-fidelity processes
  • Standardize processes where possible and partner with production teams to increase takt and throughput rates
  • Support conceptual and detailed design of major tooling assemblies alongside tooling engineering
  • Represent the manufacturing organization in focused cross-functional teams to down-select concepts for feasibility
  • Provide Design for Manufacturing feedback to structures teams during the development phase and through the first prototype and flight builds
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in mechanical or aerospace engineering. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of related experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with cross-functional teams.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is extremely detail-oriented and organized, able to manage large scope in a fast-paced environment. They will also have basic knowledge of vehicle structures, manufacturing and assembly processes, and mechanical components.

Hiring Range: $110,000-$140,000 USD
