Additive Manufacturing Engineer II/Senior

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Additive Manufacturing Engineer II/Senior to join our team. As a key member of our Additive Manufacturing organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced metal 3D printing technologies to support our rocket and spacecraft programs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and optimize printing parameters for various metallic alloys using LPBF and DED printing methods.
- Create new and improve existing print programs to ensure high-quality parts.
- Provide engineering support for day-to-day Additive Manufacturing operations and collaborate with downstream functions to ensure print geometries are effectively post-processed.
- Work closely with Design and Manufacturing Engineers to design for specific types of Additive Manufacturing and effectively communicate the importance of DfAM principles.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
- 2+ years of professional experience with metal Additive Manufacturing (for Engineer II) or 5+ years (for Senior Engineer).
- Experience with LPBF Additive Manufacturing of metallic materials.
- Firm understanding of DfAM fundamentals.
- Proficient in Additive-focused software such as Materialise Magics or 3DXpert/Ampion Suite.
- Master's Degree in Material Science, Additive Manufacturing, or equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience in Additive Manufacturing process development.
- Strong Additive simulation experience.
- Experience on LP-DED platforms.
- Ability to create and deliver accurate and concise presentations for design, manufacturing, and quality.
