Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Additive Manufacturing Engineer II/Senior to join our team. As a key member of our Additive Manufacturing organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced metal 3D printing technologies to support our rocket and spacecraft programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize printing parameters for various metallic alloys using LPBF and DED printing methods.
  • Create new and improve existing print programs to ensure high-quality parts.
  • Provide engineering support for day-to-day Additive Manufacturing operations and collaborate with downstream functions to ensure print geometries are effectively post-processed.
  • Work closely with Design and Manufacturing Engineers to design for specific types of Additive Manufacturing and effectively communicate the importance of DfAM principles.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of professional experience with metal Additive Manufacturing (for Engineer II) or 5+ years (for Senior Engineer).
  • Experience with LPBF Additive Manufacturing of metallic materials.
  • Firm understanding of DfAM fundamentals.
  • Proficient in Additive-focused software such as Materialise Magics or 3DXpert/Ampion Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Material Science, Additive Manufacturing, or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of experience in Additive Manufacturing process development.
  • Strong Additive simulation experience.
  • Experience on LP-DED platforms.
  • Ability to create and deliver accurate and concise presentations for design, manufacturing, and quality.
