We are seeking a highly skilled Propulsion Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team at Relativity Space. As a key member of our engine manufacturing department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing processes for processing printed and machined components that will be integrated onto our Aeon-R engines.
You will serve as the main point-of-contact between the manufacturing and design teams, working closely with cross-functional groups to optimize Aeon-R architecture and scale manufacturing operations. Your expertise in additive manufacturing, subtractive manufacturing, and precision inspection techniques will be essential in driving the development of high-performing products and manufacturing systems.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborating with a talented team of engineers and technicians to design, build, and test engine components and subassemblies. Your passion for innovation, tenacity, and resolve will be critical in overcoming the challenges unique to 3D printed and machined components.
About You- 3+ years of relevant experience in propulsion manufacturing, additive manufacturing, or a related field
- Strong understanding of general assembly and test procedures, including tolerance stack-up analysis, structural proof testing, and pressurized leak checks
- Ability to work effectively with vendors to obtain parts quickly and reliably
- Familiarity with GD&T and industry specifications (nice to have)
