About the Role

The Manufacturing Engineer II - Fluids Subassemblies will be responsible for developing and manufacturing innovative tube bending and welding cells for the Aeon R and Terran R programs. This role will drive the assembly's first build and test effort through design integration, assembly sequencing, and specification authoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize, develop, and manufacture cutting-edge tube bending and welding cells
  • Drive the assembly's first build and test effort
  • Foster a culture of critical thinking and imaginative problem-solving
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and production teams
  • Demonstrate ingenuity and autonomy in implementing new ideas
  • Create innovative tooling solutions for new and existing products
  • Establish and enforce standard practices and troubleshooting guides
  • Facilitate seamless day-to-day production of bent, OTW, and manually welded tubing
  • Challenge existing production and design requirements for tubing assemblies
About You

To be successful in this role, you will hold a relevant engineering degree and have 2+ years of related experience in an aerospace or automotive manufacturing environment. You will have demonstrated experience working cross-functionally to build large scope first article assemblies, resolving complex manufacturing issues, and meeting production demand.

  • Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace, mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering
  • 2+ years of experience building and testing hardware in a manufacturing environment
  • Extensive experience authoring work instructions and/or test procedures
  • Experience interfacing with design engineering, manufacturing, and production personnel
  • Extensive experience managing large scope of ownership
  • Solid understanding of at least three of the following: orbital tube welding (OTW), tube bending, TIG welding, metallic fabrication, assembly procedures, precision cleaning, pressure testing, non-destructive testing/evaluation, and tooling design
