Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Coordinator to join our team at Nova Southeastern University. As a key member of our clinical operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth patient flow and business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Train Clinical Staff: Supervise and train clinical staff to ensure work is performed according to clinical standards and regulations.
  • Front Desk Operations: Perform daily front desk operations, including financial transactions related to Medicaid, Medicare, HMO, and vision insurances for services rendered.
  • Patient Complaint Resolution: Resolve patient/customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Paperwork and Claims: Generate necessary paperwork to correct inaccurate diagnosis and procedure codes to ensure accurate claims and maximize revenue collections.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule patient appointments to ensure smooth patient flow and business operations.
  • Internal and External Inquiries: Respond to internal and external inquiries and resolve complex problems requiring a broad understanding of policies and procedures.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience: High School Diploma and two (2) years of customer service/administrative experience in an office environment
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual: Spanish/English; Creole Haitian/English; Experience with Electronic Medical Record system
Working Conditions

This is a non-safety sensitive position that requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with others, work cooperatively with colleagues and supervisory staff at all levels, and maintain confidentiality.
