Key Responsibilities:
As a Patient Access Workleader, your responsibilities will include:

  • Utilizing reports to effectively communicate with insurance providers regarding registration discrepancies.
  • Addressing and resolving patient inquiries and complaints with professionalism.
  • Providing input for the execution of Patient Access programs in line with evolving insurance regulations.
  • Assisting management with daily operational tasks to ensure smooth patient access services.
  • Participating in committees as a subject matter expert on departmental processes.
  • Cross-training to support all areas of Patient Access, including Front Desk and ER registration.
  • Implementing effective communication strategies to enhance patient experiences during registration.
  • Identifying and resolving registration issues promptly.
  • Facilitating staff training and contributing to performance evaluations.
  • Managing operational tasks such as staff scheduling and compliance audits.
  • Coordinating resources for daily assignments and ensuring adequate coverage during employee absences.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a customer-facing role, with prior leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to multitask and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency in PC software applications.

Physical Requirements:
Candidates should be able to move throughout the facility, stand or sit for extended periods, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
