About the Role

Leidos is seeking a skilled Program Evaluation Specialist to join our research team in San Diego, CA. As a Program Evaluation Specialist, you will play a critical role in evaluating military health and readiness programs for the Department of Defense.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute program evaluations on new and existing programs
  • Develop interview guides and protocols
  • Develop outputs, outcomes, and impact measures for the evaluation of various programs
  • Conduct literature reviews of relevant topics
  • Communicate with study stakeholders and sponsors
  • Perform statistical analyses of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods data
  • Interpret statistical findings and develop technical reports and scientific manuscripts for peer-reviewed professional journals
  • Prepare and present briefings to project sponsors, military leaders, and researchers at professional meetings and conferences
  • Develop recommendations for the improvement of existing programs
  • Document and share lessons learned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Psychology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience planning and conducting program evaluations using the CDC framework for program evaluation
  • Strong background in program evaluation and implementation science principles
  • Advanced experience in conducting statistical analyses of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods data
  • Ability to prepare and deliver briefs, presentations, and written reports that are tailored to specific audiences
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and demonstrated experience with stakeholder engagement
  • Demonstrated experience presenting research results at conferences or in written form
  • Ability to travel to military locations nationally and internationally
  • Due to federal contract restrictions, candidate must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or PhD in Public Health, Psychology, or a related field
  • Two years of experience working in a military or veteran setting
  • Demonstrated experience with agile project management principles
