The Global Business Intelligence (GBI) organization is seeking talented individuals to join our team. The GBI team is responsible for managing Apple's extensive enterprise data warehouse, processing vast amounts of data to deliver insights that support informed business decisions. We utilize a variety of advanced technology stacks, including Snowflake, HANA, and SingleStore, along with numerous processing and analytics tools. Our daily work involves designing, innovating, and implementing solutions using these big data technologies.

Role Responsibilities

In this position, you will oversee project management for significant cross-functional initiatives that are vital to our business objectives. Your responsibilities will encompass all facets of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): defining, scheduling, prioritizing, tracking, measuring, and communicating project status. You will collaborate with teams across various layers of the technology stack and engage with cross-functional partners, including project managers, engineering teams, and business units. Leading brainstorming sessions for requirements and design reviews with both internal and external stakeholders is essential, as is understanding the functionalities and features being implemented.

Key tasks include identifying and mitigating risks, removing obstacles, and facilitating communication among teams. Additionally, you will assist with other project management responsibilities, such as maintaining the project roadmap, overseeing resource capacity and funding at the portfolio level, and implementing project governance frameworks. Essential Qualifications
  • 7+ years of practical experience in engineering project management within Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or Analytics.
  • Familiarity with various project methodologies, including Waterfall, Change Management, and Agile/Scrum.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large, complex cross-functional programs, aligning multiple teams towards shared goals.
  • Self-driven, collaborative, inquisitive, and proactive with proven critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent listening, comprehension, verbal, and written communication abilities, with a knack for presenting information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate resilience and adaptability in uncertain situations, fostering transparency and inclusion to drive impactful business changes.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and data warehousing, with prior experience in large-scale system migration projects preferred.
Education & Experience

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
