Sales Manager Job Description

The Sales Manager is a key leadership role responsible for driving sales revenue growth in their assigned region. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, this individual will oversee the sales team and work closely with Inside Sales, Engineering support staff, production, repair, and the Executive Team to achieve sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Designs, implements, and manages sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes.
• Establishes high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in planning, forecasting, and budgeting approaches used by the sales team.
• Ensures planning, forecasting, and budgeting efforts are appropriately integrated with other planning processes employed by the company.
• Provides leadership to the sales team and counsel to the Regional Sales Manager in implementing sales objectives that reflect the company's business goals.
• Manages, coaches, and oversees assigned sales team in all day-to-day selling activities.
• Works with each sales Territory Manager to plan and execute each territory's sales goals.
• Collaborates with Product Managers, Customer Service Representatives, and Engineers to grow profitable sales and drive results.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of sales management experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel through the sales territory, with some overnight travel required.
• Valid driver's license with a record that allows coverage by company insurance.
• PC proficiency.

Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mechanical, Civil, Industrial Engineering, Management, or a related field of study.
• Product knowledge, including industrial pump, filtration, hose, or fluid handling equipment experience.
