Yard Truck Specialists is a leading provider of heavy-duty and customized material handling equipment solutions. As a Service Writer and Warranty Administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless customer experiences and efficient service operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and process service quotes and pre-approved tickets for the service department.
- Track the progress of quotes sent out and verify/add/remove parts on tickets.
- Add notations to tickets for work done and open/close tickets as necessary.
- Educate customers about recommended services and submit invoices for POs to customers.
- Assist with answering phone calls and interacting with customers and service technicians daily.
- Review customer accounts and report changes to internal staff.
- Contact customers regarding promised time and time requirements, and obtain authorization before additional repairs are performed.
- Work closely with the Service Manager, Shop Foreman, and the Parts Department.
- Evaluate and determine if work being done or requested is warrantable.
- Order parts for the service department from Cummins and schedule Cummins work when necessary.
- Proven experience in sales, customer relations, or related positions.
- Excellent customer service skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Patient disposition and ability to resolve conflicts.
- Knowledgeable in computer applications and industry-specific software.
- Truck parts and service background.
- Basic accounting skills.
