Rutland Regional Medical Center seeks a skilled Patient Education Coordinator to provide educational and clinical services in a clinical setting on disease or disorder self-management following clinical standards of care. The ideal candidate will maintain up-to-date knowledge on disease or disorder related issues to serve as a resource to the patient community and participate in events designed to increase health awareness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide patient education and clinical services in a clinical setting
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on disease or disorder related issues
  • Participate in events designed to increase health awareness
  • Perform patient care activities for patients of diverse ages in a clinical setting

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred or required as per specialty credentialing requirements
  • 2 year clinical experience in chronic disease care in specialty area being sought
  • Experience in educating a diverse population on healthcare issues is highly desirable

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensed in the State of Vermont
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association
  • Appropriate credentialing per specific discipline or to be acquired within 1 year of obtaining the position

Salary Range

$64,103.23
