Overview:
The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and management of both routine and urgent repairs on essential machinery. This role involves developing documented preventive maintenance protocols and monitoring equipment failures to integrate them into the maintenance management system. The Facilities Maintenance Manager also supervises the sanitation team.

Key Responsibilities:
The following duties are essential to the role. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.

- Directs and/or executes all repair activities across various departments within the facility.

- Conducts troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on production machinery under both standard and emergency scenarios.

- Performs preventive maintenance inspections on a daily, weekly, monthly, bi-annual, and annual basis; carries out safety compliance checks and maintains comprehensive records of production equipment.

- Trains staff on equipment start-up processes and machine operation.

- Diagnoses equipment malfunctions, identifies root causes, and implements necessary repairs or adjustments.

- Ensures that company facilities, including buildings and grounds, meet established standards.

- Maintains operational efficiency of the facility while minimizing downtime.

- Manages the ordering, storage, and distribution of maintenance supplies.

- Develops and enhances policies and procedures within the Maintenance Department.

- Oversees the proper use of company tools and equipment.

- Ensures adherence to the maintenance control schedule and verifies that equipment is properly maintained.

- Collaborates with Production and Quality Assurance teams to ensure seamless operations.

- Provides leadership and guidance to team members and assists in their training.

- Ensures compliance with food safety regulations and good manufacturing practices by all plant personnel.

- Maintains a safe and hygienic work environment by adhering to food safety guidelines, procedures, and regulations, as well as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Supervisory Duties:
This position directly supervises a team of six employees within the Maintenance Department. Supervision is conducted in accordance with organizational policies and relevant laws.

Responsibilities include employee training, work planning, task assignment, performance evaluation, and addressing employee concerns and issues.



Qualifications:
- Proficient in Welding

- Completion of Safety Training

- Knowledge of Food Safety and Security protocols

- Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices for the Food Industry)

- Expertise in Chemical Handling and Safety

- Understanding of Lock-Out / Tag-Out procedures

- Forklift Certification
