We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Public Storage. Key Responsibilities- Maintain Property Grounds: Ensure the interior and exterior of our properties are clean, well-maintained, and free of debris.
- Perform Daily Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of storage units, kiosks, and other facilities to ensure they are clean and ready for rent.
- Provide General Maintenance: Perform tasks such as mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, minor plumbing repairs, and landscaping to maintain the overall appearance of our properties.
- Operate Equipment: Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move merchandise, office furniture, and other materials as needed.
- Report Maintenance Needs: Identify and report any maintenance needs, safety concerns, or equipment failures to the Property Manager or District Manager.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 35 pounds, walk in/around facilities, and spend up to 50% of the time in outdoor environments.
- Qualifications: Prior custodial or similar experience, ability to work independently or as part of a small team, and a valid driver's license with reliable personal transportation.
