Job Title: PeopleSoft Developer

We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Developer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This role will be a hybrid position, with two days spent in-office and three days working remotely.

About the Role

This position will work closely with business units to understand new business requirements, design, develop, and test application modifications to optimize PeopleSoft and related production applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support for development, test, and production environments
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner
  • Administer PeopleSoft security
  • Participate in the development and implementation of processes that improve efficiency and enhance productivity
  • Create custom processes, reports, and functionality using SQRs, Application Engines, Component Interfaces, Workflow, PeopleCode, and Fluid development
  • Create/maintain documentation to support new and existing functionality
  • Assist IT and other departmental staff in reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business processes and end-user needs to support business requirements
  • Analyze customizations and reapply, if necessary, during system updates/patching
  • Analyze performance and correct deficiencies
  • Coordinate the implementation of system updates with business owners
Requirements
  • 5+ years of PeopleSoft development experience
  • Experience/skills with PeopleSoft HCM 9.2, PeopleTools 8.56 or higher
  • Strong functional understanding of PeopleSoft HCM modules, including HR, Benefits, Payroll, and Time and Labor
  • Ability to develop, test, and debug complex PeopleSoft programs, including SQRs, Application Engines, Component Interfaces, Workflow, PeopleCode, Fluid development, and custom bolt-ons
  • Ability to write and modify intermediate-to-advanced SQL
  • Ability to translate functional requirements into technical design
  • Work independently, prioritize workload, troubleshoot, and remedy problems under pressing deadlines
  • Work with Oracle Support and other IT teams on problem resolution
  • Utilize current technologies to manage and track tasks, workflows, and communication
  • Experience with source code control and software configuration management tools
  • Experience with relational database design and administration
  • Experience developing in a continuous integration environment using source code control, automated testing, and build automation
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent professional experience

  • Knowledge of current software development technologies, trends, and methodologies
  • Understanding of common software engineering design patterns
