Alameda, California, United States Saildrone Inc Full time
About Saildrone Inc
At Saildrone, we are committed to the sustainable exploration, mapping, and monitoring of the oceans to enhance our understanding and preservation of the environment.

We offer real-time access to vital data from any ocean globally, operating 24/7/365, utilizing proprietary software to convert this data into actionable insights.

Our fleet of uncrewed surface vehicles (USVs), powered by renewable energy sources, operates with a minimal carbon footprint and does not require crewed support vessels.

We collaborate with various entities, including governments, civil agencies, foundations, universities, and private organizations, to improve information about our oceans. Our missions range from sailing into the heart of hurricanes to gather data on storm intensification, to mapping the ocean floor and combating illegal fishing.

Our efforts have garnered recognition, including being featured on TIME's List of the 100 Most Influential Companies and Fast Company's list of the "World's Most Innovative Companies." Our hurricane mission has also been recognized by The New York Times and entered into the Guinness Book of World Records.

We are located in Alameda, CA, with additional offices in Washington DC and St. Petersburg, FL, and conduct missions worldwide. Saildrone is supported by leading investors in frontier technology and sustainability.

This role presents an exciting opportunity within a rapidly growing team at the forefront of big data services and autonomous technology.
