Position: Quality Assurance Inspector
Company: Astrix Technology
Location: Livermore, CA
Compensation: $20-21/hr.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5am - 1:30pm
Contract Duration: 6 months with potential for permanent placement
Role Overview:
Astrix Technology is at the forefront of custom contract manufacturing, specializing in innovative and effective skin and personal care products. We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Inspector to ensure our production processes meet the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide quality oversight for production lines.
- Ensure compliance with batch instructions and operational procedures.
- Conduct and document inspections, checks, and sampling during production.
- Perform line clearance and inspect processing areas for the removal of previous products and materials.
- Execute standard inspections on first articles, initial pallets, and random samples of finished goods.
- Halt production or shipments in cases of significant non-compliance with specifications or quality standards.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of outgoing shipments.
- Review and approve production labels.
- Monitor manufacturing and packaging operations, reporting any non-conformances to management.
- Conduct line checks and AQLs as specified in batch records.
- Review batch documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform follow-up inspections on reworked non-compliant products and complete necessary deviation forms.
- Maintain QC inspection reports and daily summary logs.
- Collect QC/retain samples during production and manage sample retention.
- Gather customer and lab testing samples during production, ensuring proper identification.
- Oversee daily temperature monitoring and documentation.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and rounding.
- Proficient in basic computer skills, including data entry and familiarity with MS Office (especially Word and Excel).
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
