Patient Care Coordinator

Optum Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Optum. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and manage wait times in a prompt and pleasant manner.
- Complete check-in and check-out tasks, including insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and document copying.
- Collect co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles, and issue receipts.
- Manage medical records, including scanning, filing, and preparing for schedules.
- Ensure all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, and process requests for medical records release.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 1+ years of customer service experience with strong communication skills
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to travel 10% of the time for coverage at other clinics as needed
