Reports To: Physical Therapy Site Coordinator
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
University Orthopedics is in search of a skilled and enthusiastic Physical Therapist to enhance our Physical Therapy team. The Physical Therapist is responsible for conducting thorough assessments to identify impairments in body structure and function, as well as limitations in activity and participation. This role involves establishing diagnoses, prognoses, and crafting personalized care plans. The Physical Therapist will implement treatment strategies and carry out ongoing evaluations throughout the treatment process.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assess patients across a range of ages experiencing musculoskeletal issues.
- Develop and discuss suitable treatment strategies based on evaluation outcomes.
- Complete necessary documentation to comply with federal and insurance standards.
- Oversee patient progress throughout the therapy process.
- Provide accurate and timely billing information for services rendered.
- Perform additional clinical responsibilities as assigned by the Physical Therapy Department to address patient needs.
- Undertake other tasks as directed by the Manager to support departmental objectives.
- Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program.
- Possession of or eligibility for licensure as a physical therapist in the State of RI.
- Preferred prior experience in outpatient orthopedic or musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Detail-oriented approach.
- Collaborative team player.
- Exceptional interpersonal and time management skills.
- Willingness to travel to various sites as needed.
