Job Title: Physical Therapist

Reports To: Physical Therapy Site Coordinator

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

University Orthopedics is in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Therapist to enhance our Physical Therapy team. The Physical Therapist conducts thorough assessments to identify impairments in body structure and function, as well as limitations in activities and participation. Develops a diagnosis and prognosis, and creates a tailored care plan. Executes treatment strategies and performs continuous evaluations throughout the treatment process.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Assess patients across a range of ages experiencing musculoskeletal issues.
  • Formulate and discuss suitable treatment strategies based on evaluation results.
  • Complete necessary documentation to comply with federal and insurance standards.
  • Oversee patient progress during therapy sessions.
  • Provide accurate and timely billing information for rendered services.
  • Fulfill additional clinical responsibilities as assigned by the Physical Therapy Department to address patient requirements.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Manager to support departmental objectives.
Requirements:
  • Graduated from an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in the State of RI.
  • Preferred experience in outpatient orthopedic or musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Capability to uphold confidentiality.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel to various sites as required.
