We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Prospect Medical Holdings. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for evaluating pulmonary dysfunction and performing cardiopulmonary procedures to treat and care for patients.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients' need for respiratory care by validating physician orders, interviewing patients, and performing assessments.
- Initiate and conduct therapeutic procedures, evaluate treatment efficacy, and modify prescribed therapeutic procedures as needed.
- Provide emergency care, including airway management and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Perform cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures, calculate test results, and analyze specimens to detect abnormalities or specimen integrity issues.
- Maintain, clean, and calibrate equipment and instruments according to manufacturer instructions and hospital policy.
- Evaluate all clinical data to determine the appropriateness of prescribed respiratory care and participate in the development of the respiratory care plan.
- Current licensure as a RCP in the State of California.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (if graduated after 2015).
- AHA Basic Life Support.
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to maintain flexibility and composure in a constantly changing environment.
- Previous experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in an acute care hospital.
- Bachelor's of Science Degree.
- Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families.
