Respiratory Care Specialist

At Dignity Health - California Hospital Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team.
The Respiratory Care Practitioner will provide appropriate respiratory care in an efficient and effective manner, focusing on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of acute care experience, including pediatrics, trauma, and ventilator management. A Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or a related field is preferred.
The Respiratory Care Practitioner will be responsible for providing care in the NICU setting, with a focus on neonatal patients. The individual will have age-specific training and will be documented within the employee's personnel file.
The successful candidate will possess strong patient assessment skills, strong communication and interaction skills, and be bilingual in English and Spanish. Current RCP licensure issued by the state of California is required.
The Respiratory Care Practitioner will work closely with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care and achieve excellent customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- Work in the NICU setting, providing care to neonatal patients
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve excellent patient outcomes
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
- Monitor and maintain patient records and reports
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of acute care experience
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or a related field
- Current RCP licensure issued by the state of California
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Strong patient assessment skills and strong communication and interaction skills
Certifications:
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Adult RCPS
- BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications for NICU RCPS
