POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a proficient Training Specialist to contribute to the creation and effective delivery of training programs for AM General's clientele globally, specifically focusing on the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) and Humvee initiatives. All training development and execution will adhere to AM General's internal protocols and U.S. Government Training Regulations and Standards. In this role, you will collaborate within a team and independently to aid in the design and implementation of training programs, perform field service tasks, and support quality assessments as necessary in both domestic and international locations.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Automotive vocational degree or a minimum of five years of technical automotive experience is required.
  • Previous military experience in maintenance with an instructor certification and familiarity with training development is advantageous.
  • Preferred certifications include Instructor Training Course Certifications ABIC, CFD-IC, SGITC, FDP-1 SAT, SATW, and ASE Automotive Service Excellence certifications in Automotive, Heavy Truck, or Military Vehicles. Army Instructor Badges BAIB, SAIB, and/or MAIB or equivalent certifications from other U.S. Military branches or civilian instructor training are also preferred.
  • Must be eligible for or possess a U.S. Government Clearance.
  • Familiarity with the Systems Approach to Training (SAT) and TRADOC Regulation is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the creation and updating of technical training programs for the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) and Humvee utilizing Microsoft Office tools.
  • Educate and assess students using both new and existing training course materials.
  • Conduct technical training programs for the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) and Humvee in various locations, both domestic and international.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for technical knowledge, tools, and maintenance practices to support clients.
  • Generate comprehensive training reports detailing the progress of offsite training initiatives.
  • Execute Field Service responsibilities and assist departmental operations as needed.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Vision: Must be able to regularly read documents and screens with precision and clarity to perform tasks safely and efficiently.

  • Hand-Eye Coordination: Must regularly coordinate visual and manual tasks effectively.
  • Manual Dexterity: Must demonstrate skillful and coordinated movements with hands and arms for various job-related tasks.
  • Agility: Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach to perform job functions.
  • Climbing/Kneeling: Must occasionally perform tasks requiring climbing, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Lifting: Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally, with or without assistance.
  • Physical Strength: Must be capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying objects using various muscle groups.
  • Stamina: Must be able to exert physical effort over extended periods, including standing and sitting for long durations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • This position operates globally, with approximately half of the time spent in an office setting. Employees must be prepared to work in varying conditions, including extreme temperatures and inclement weather.
  • Collaboration: This role requires teamwork to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Listening Skills: Understanding machinery operation is crucial for safety and accuracy.
  • Instruction Adherence: Ability to follow assigned tasks competently is essential.
  • Methodical Approach: A systematic approach is necessary for maintaining production line efficiency.
  • Concentration: Strong focus is required for quality control in a fast-paced environment.
Travel Requirements:

Up to 65% travel may be necessary.
