About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Ride Operator at Knott's Berry Farm. As a Ride Operator, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service while ensuring the safe operation of our attractions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Safety and Experience: Ensure the safe operation of the ride, including enforcing rider requirements and restrictions.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Test equipment daily before opening the ride to guests.
  • Queue Management: Ensure queue lines are safe and orderly, and restrict the number of guests on the loading platform to the number who can be seated on the ride.
  • Guest Assistance: Assist with the loading and unloading of the ride, including small children and guests with disabilities.
  • Communication: Give directions and deliver ride spiels using a microphone, and answer or resolve guest questions and complaints.
  • Record Keeping: Record hourly ride capacity and cycles.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Ability to explain ride requirements to guests from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Availability: Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Background Check: Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references.
