This role is pivotal in driving the sales objectives related to modernization solutions for vertical transportation systems within the branch. Responsibilities may encompass managing service accounts and occasionally overseeing project management for sold initiatives. The position requires fostering and sustaining relationships with key stakeholders including Owners, Building Managers, General Contractors, Consultants, Architects, and Developers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage daily with customers, management, colleagues, and vendors regarding contracts, support, negotiation, and administration.
- Devise effective strategies to secure project wins and ensure successful completion.
- Prepare detailed estimates, proposals, and bids while collaborating with relevant departments and utilizing the company’s estimating systems.
- Accurately input data and utilize Salesforce in accordance with company policies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to enhance Mitsubishi's standing.
- Gather bid results for all projects.
- Host clients as necessary.
- Occasionally participate in evening business functions.
- Manage sold projects as directed on an occasional basis.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, job site visits, and customer discussions.
- Collect and analyze market data as required.
- Maintain accurate contract records and correspondence.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as Legal, Risk & Benefits, Human Resources, Engineering, and Accounting as needed.
- Conduct project take-offs and prepare specifications, estimates, proposals, and bids, including vendor pricing.
- Negotiate subcontract awards as necessary.
- Prepare essential documents for smooth transitions to the Project Management Department.
- Participate in project kick-off meetings to ensure proper handover to the PM department.
- Assist Project Managers in resolving outstanding issues as needed.
- Review subcontract scopes of work and negotiate as required.
- Contribute to customer presentations on product services and deliver presentations effectively.
- Travel locally up to 80% of the time.
- Conduct project site surveys when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding pending sales issues.
- Develop and maintain excellent customer relations to maximize company interests.
- Respond promptly and professionally to all customer inquiries and concerns.
- Maintain organized files.
- Engage in product development and strategy discussions with management.
- Perform additional job functions as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Economics is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in the construction industry is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in building client relationships.
The salary range for this position is expected to be between $104,000 and $143,000 per year, with variations based on factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include commissions based on individual performance and/or sales metrics, as well as a comprehensive range of benefits.
