Our Corporate Accounts Receivable division is looking for a proactive and enthusiastic accountant or associate accountant. This position will concentrate on supporting a team of accounting professionals with daily and monthly accounts receivable processing and reporting for our property and casualty divisions. You will gain experience with accounting software systems and analytical tools, perform reconciliations, conduct system testing, and apply research techniques to adhere to Insurance Accounting standards and payment regulations.

Compensation Overview:

The salary range for the associate accountant role is $60,000 - $65,000 annually, while the accountant position offers a range of $65,000 - $70,000 annually. Compensation is determined based on the candidate's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also qualify for an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on both company and individual performance.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Ensuring transactions from various billing applications align with financial reporting software
  • Conducting financial analyses and supporting accounting processes
  • Preparing daily and monthly accounting entries and validating banking transactions
  • Testing and validating system change requests
  • Performing bad debt analysis and account reconciliations
  • Participating in accounting and enterprise-level projects that enhance the company's competitive advantage

Qualifications:

To be successful, you should possess:

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A willingness to learn and utilize accounting and analytical software systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • The ability to work independently or collaboratively while feeling comfortable asking questions
  • A demonstrated capacity to lead and adapt to change

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 0 to 2+ years of relevant accounting experience or equivalent work experience
  • Previous internship experience in an accounting-related role (preferred)
