We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Construction Financial Specialist to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will possess over 3 years of experience in a construction financial environment and have a solid understanding of AIA billing practices. As a Financial Specialist, you will be responsible for managing billing and contract documentation for the projects assigned to you.
A successful applicant for this position will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and the ability to build reliable relationships in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of our growing organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate all projects by reviewing contracts for billing specifications and requirements.
  • Set up and maintain precise AIA billing and CCIP reporting.
  • Ensure timely preparation, review, and submission of monthly pay applications.
  • Proactively investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies.
  • Foster strong working relationships with project managers and general contractor counterparts.
  • Request and provide necessary documentation, including insurance certificates and lien releases.
  • Manage collection reports to ensure consistent cash flow.
  • Adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Utilize technology to generate reports and perform high-volume data entry.
  • Assist with accounting audits as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a construction financial environment.
  • Able to accurately process high volumes of data.
  • Ability to collaborate across different functions.
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional accounting acumen.
  • Consistent work history.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a knack for problem-solving.
  • A desire to develop and acquire new skills.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • A degree in Accounting is preferred; relevant experience may be considered.

Job Type: Full-time with weekly salary payments.
