Position Overview:

Colliers Engineering & Design is on the lookout for a skilled Project Engineer specializing in Land Development and Infrastructure. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication abilities, organizational skills, and a knack for problem-solving. Attention to detail and a collaborative spirit are essential for this role. Our firm has a rich history of delivering engineering services for some of the most significant master-planned communities, retail spaces, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, mixed-use developments, and public infrastructure projects in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive reports, final design documentation, technical specifications, and other essential technical materials with minimal supervision.
  • Oversee quality assurance, project timelines, and plan production.
  • Distribute tasks within the team and provide technical guidance to ensure designs are both sound and cost-effective.
  • Contribute to team morale and efficiency while monitoring the performance of team members.
  • Coordinate effectively with team members, municipal authorities, consultants, and clients.
  • Deliver high-level technical design and quality assurance.
  • Manage plan processing and resolve issues with reviewers.
  • Identify and assess design risks and opportunities.
  • Assist in project and team management tasks.
  • Mentor junior design staff in areas of technical expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in land development or site engineering.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) is preferred, with the ability to obtain Arizona licensure within six months.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory; experience with Civil 3D is advantageous.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in spreadsheets and scheduling software.
  • Ability to prepare designs for a variety of projects.
  • Solid understanding of civil engineering principles and construction documentation.
  • Effective communication skills in English for job-related correspondence and verbal interactions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk and utilizing a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
