Job Overview

KEAR Civil Corporation is in search of skilled project supervisors to enhance our workforce. These professionals will oversee the pre-construction and construction phases of KEAR's water and wastewater infrastructure initiatives, which encompass treatment facilities, pumping stations, water distribution networks, and associated tasks. The primary project delivery methods employed for these services include Design-Build, Job Order Contracting (JOC), and Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR). The selected individual will be accountable for each project from the initial design concept through to the completion of construction.

Frequently, our clients request the execution of specialized projects, including various facility enhancements and building renovations. The oversight and implementation of these initiatives are essential responsibilities for these Project Supervisor roles. This position presents an excellent opportunity for candidates with comprehensive and multi-disciplinary construction management expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellence while planning, managing, coordinating, and executing the Company's industrial water/wastewater projects.
  • Lead design-build teams, including design professionals and consultants, throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Oversee multiple trade vendors and subcontractors.
  • Monitor and control construction activities through administrative guidance of on-site management.
  • Manage the financial aspects of projects, ensuring adherence to budget as work progresses.
  • Negotiate subcontract agreements and procure necessary equipment and materials; manage purchase order negotiations.
  • Identify, estimate, quote, and negotiate changes to contracts.
  • Approve invoices and timesheets.
  • Facilitate staff development by acting as a mentor and role model.
  • Provide training, support, guidance, and assistance in setting goals.
  • Promote safety among peers and subordinates by serving as a safety mentor.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Develop budgets and schedules.
  • Determine staffing requirements.
  • May assist in the development of proposals.
  • Define the scope of work and resources needed for successful project completion.
  • Foster and manage relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Initiate opportunities for new project development.
  • Maintain open communication with clients.
  • Represent the company in project meetings.
  • Provide support to Executive Management as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in heavy civil or water & wastewater-related infrastructure construction projects.
  • A four-year degree in construction management or engineering is preferred.
  • Experience with Job Order Contracting, CMAR, and Design Build delivery methods is advantageous.
  • Experience in water/wastewater operations and maintenance, including operational safety.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 Scheduling Programs.
  • Familiarity with Procore Construction Management Software is a plus.
