Job Overview

The role involves providing exceptional service to the Bank's clientele in a professional, respectful, and confidential manner. The position focuses on promoting and processing the Bank's deposit products and services while engaging in business development activities. Adherence to the Bank's regulations and policies is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties Include:

  1. Conduct all tasks with accuracy, thoroughness, and compliance with Bank policies and procedures.
  2. Engage in select responsibilities associated with loan processing, including generation, closing, administration, and collections.
  3. Welcome all customers and prospects, promoting the Bank and cross-selling products and services.
  4. Process checking and savings deposits: confirm cash and endorsements, verify identification for cash back, and issue deposit receipts.
  5. Review deposited checks and determine funds availability in accordance with regulatory requirements, issuing Hold Notices as necessary.
  6. Facilitate savings withdrawals.
  7. Cash checks: validate endorsements, confirm identification, and ensure authenticity.
  8. Identify counterfeit currency.
  9. Accept loan payments: verify amounts and issue receipts.
  10. Manage currency transactions from the vault as required, ensuring branch staff cash limits are adhered to.
  11. Balance cash drawers daily, including periodic batching of cashed checks.
  12. Ensure branch staff workstations are adequately supplied.
  13. Follow procedures for managing dormant accounts.
  14. Utilize scanning and other technologies for daily operations.
  15. Meet sales and referral targets as assigned.
  16. Keep management informed of customer feedback and concerns.
  17. Address basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges, and account histories while adhering to disclosure requirements and privacy policies.
  18. Direct customers to the appropriate department for unresolved issues.
  19. Participate in scheduled meetings.
  20. Count loose coins as necessary.
  21. Possess the ability to override branch staff transactions when required.
  22. Assist in balancing the ATM and managing cash orders or vault responsibilities.
  23. Capable of opening deposit accounts.
  24. Cross-sell and market Bank products and services based on customer needs in line with the Bank's standards.
  25. Process deposit products and services in accordance with policy and regulations, ensuring all follow-up tasks related to new account openings are completed accurately.
  26. Clearly explain and finalize all services, ensuring customer understanding of all terms and conditions.
  27. Contact customers to obtain necessary signatures on documents with missing or irregular signatures.
  28. Provide complete product and insurance information to customers.
  29. Refer all mortgage and commercial inquiries to the appropriate banking professionals.
  30. Prepare management reports as needed.
  31. Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
  32. Assist customers with routine account-related requests, including funds transfers, electronic funds transfers (EFTs), stop payments, and inquiries about Bank deposit products and service charges.
  33. Log all new accounts and ensure accurate record-keeping by the end of the business day.
  34. Complete all follow-up documentation.
  35. Make calls to customers regarding negative account balances to develop supportive long-term solutions.
  36. Open and close the branch while observing security protocols.
  37. Act as a liaison to lending departments as necessary.
  38. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Other Responsibilities

Adhere to First Federal Bank of Wisconsin's policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent is required. Previous cash handling or sales experience is preferred, along with customer service experience. A strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail is essential.

Skills

Exceptional customer service skills are crucial. The ability to prioritize tasks and make informed decisions regarding customer transactions while balancing customer satisfaction with the Bank's risk exposure is necessary. Comprehensive knowledge of all Bank deposit products and policies, as well as basic understanding of loan and deposit center products, is required. Familiarity with various federal regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and others, is also important.
