Job Summary

WaterStone Bank is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Universal Banker I to join our team. As a key member of our banking team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and sales skills to meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to meet the needs of our customers, including processing transactions, answering questions, and resolving account issues.
  • Sales and Cross-Selling: Identify and expand customer relationships by profiling customers and recommending appropriate products and services that meet their needs.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of WaterStone Bank's products and services, as well as regulatory requirements governing retail deposit accounts.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other banking professionals to achieve sales and customer service goals.
  • Professional Development: Complete all training and certifications required for the position, including Banker Certification within 6 months of hire/promotion date.
Requirements
  • Experience: 6 months of sales and/or customer service experience required; 1 year of experience in a sales and goals-based environment preferred.
  • Education: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Associate's Degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Certifications: Banker Certification within 6 months of hire/promotion date required.
