Job Summary:

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for leading, supporting, and directing all housekeeping and laundry department operations at the Rapid City Best Western Ramkota Hotel. They will ensure the highest standards of the guest environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Direct: Housekeeping tasks assigned to staff to provide guests with the highest quality of service.
  • Maintain a Professional Department: Ensure high levels of guest and associate satisfaction by maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Room Quality: Maintain room quality based on hotel objectives and monitor cleanliness in rooms, storage areas, laundry, restrooms, and public areas.
  • Status Reports: Compile and report accurate status of guest rooms to the front office.
  • Productivity and Labor Costs: Maintain productivity and labor cost goals while establishing and maintaining cost control systems for staffing, linen inventories, and cleaning supplies.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct inventories of linen, supplies, and equipment.
  • Guest Services: Ensure quality services are rendered in meeting guest needs and enhance guest relations.
  • Brand Standards: Ensure satisfactory scores with the brand by preparing for audits, evaluating results, and collaborating with management and team for necessary improvements.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Experience in all aspects of Housekeeping in a large, multi-use facility required.
  • Supervisory Experience: Previous supervisory experience.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility: Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Appearance: Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
  • Physical Demands: Climb steps in hotels that do not provide elevators, push and pull heavy equipment of up to 50 lbs. for extended periods of time, and lift 35 lbs. occasionally.
