Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to join our corporate team. This role is essential in supporting the Finance and Strategy Team by driving strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will engage in revenue forecasting, planning, and reporting, while also spearheading improvements in these areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and compile weekly ticket revenue reports, collaborating with the team to formulate monthly revenue forecasts and comprehensive financial plans.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing revenue reporting and forecasting processes, implementing necessary model improvements.
  • Evaluate current market performance against historical data to provide insightful revenue forecasting recommendations.
  • Deliver analytical support to internal stakeholders regarding revenue planning and actuals, and manage ad hoc projects across various departments.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present findings on strategic planning and revenue management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the IT Systems Group to refine reporting and analytical tools, ensuring proper documentation procedures are in place.
  • Execute additional job-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.

Professional Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years in finance or business planning, with experience in complex data modeling preferred, particularly within the cruise line or hospitality sectors.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for advanced data analysis.
  • Familiarity with data mining tools (e.g., Hyperion/Brio), PeopleSoft accounting systems, and Hyperion Essbase for financial reporting and planning, as well as Tableau.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and presentation of recommendations.
  • Able to build and maintain robust working relationships with various internal stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Capable of managing ad hoc requests alongside existing responsibilities and adjusting priorities as needed.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities for business and data modeling to meet productivity expectations.
