Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and policies, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), HAZCOM, Process Safety, Lock Out/Tag Out, and Emergency Action protocols.
  • Support the Packaging Technician in all operational functions of the production line, including maintaining cleanliness and following waste reduction and recycling guidelines.
  • Assist in feeding materials to the production line as required.
  • Conduct monthly Behavioral Safety Observations.
  • Operate aerial lifts as necessary (in-house certification required).
  • Follow established work instructions and ensure compliance with the Quality Control Plan and related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Train new Operators and Temporary Workers as needed.
  • Effectively collaborate in a team-based work environment.
  • Complete changeovers for case packers, case sealers, and posimats.
  • Assist the Packaging Technician with preventative maintenance tasks.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Proven ability to operate a Packaging Line and associated equipment, including startup, clearing jams, manual operations, and shutdown procedures.
  • Experience in assisting with changeovers, washouts, and preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to perform minor troubleshooting and adjustments to optimize production time.
  • Proficient in using computers for data entry and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills with a command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to support business demands.
