About the Role

MaineHealth Neurology is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team in providing exceptional care to individuals with movement disorders. This is a 100% outpatient position with no inpatient consultation, offering a great work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist movement disorder neurologists in initial evaluations and management of patients with conditions such as Parkinson's disease, chorea, tremor, and dystonia.
  • Contribute to headache evaluations, respond to patient phone calls and MyChart messages, and review lab and imaging results.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Two years of experience preferred but not required.
  • Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure.
  • Current BLS certification.
