MaineHealth Neurosurgery & Spine is on the lookout for a dedicated Physiatrist (MD/DO) or an Osteopathic physician (DO) skilled in Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (OMT) to join our esteemed outpatient multispecialty Spine Center. The ideal candidate will contribute to our holistic approach to care by integrating OMT as a complementary treatment for non-surgical spinal issues. The on-call responsibilities are manageable, amounting to roughly six weeks annually. You will be part of a collaborative team of 11 physiatrists, 12 surgeons, 3 anesthesiologists, and 3 physical therapists.

**Position Highlights:**

  • Join a leading spine and neurosurgical practice in Maine.
  • Engage in clinical responsibilities that include consultations and the ongoing management of spine-related conditions and musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physiatrists, neurosurgeons, orthopedic spine surgeons, and anesthesiologists.
  • Work in a new 100,000 square foot medical facility with immediate access to EMG, X-ray, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and MRI, along with colleagues in Neurology, Vascular Surgery, and ENT.

**Desired Qualifications & Experience:**
  • MD/DO from an accredited medical institution.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Physiatry (for Physiatry applicants).
  • Experience in diagnosing and managing a range of spine and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • A strong interest in utilizing OMT when clinically appropriate.
