Job Title: Banking as a Service (BaaS) Program Implementation Specialist

This is a remote position with work from home flexibility for candidates in the United States.

Summary:

The Banking as a Service (BaaS) Program Implementation Specialist is responsible for driving implementation and launch in market of BaaS programs by collaborating with external partners, internal bank stakeholders, senior management, project management and technology teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Primary business resource for BaaS program implementation projects.
  • Identify and document program related processes and workstreams.
  • Collaborate with program required vendors to understand integration and implementation requirements.
  • Develop strong functional business knowledge and technical understanding of technology platforms, operations, and servicing to assist in delivery of solutions for card and non-card payment products for TransPecos Banks.
  • Understand, coordinate, and communicate implementation tasks and schedules to ensure successful launch (go live) progress aligned with business strategy and objectives.
  • Identify potential roadblocks and develop recommendations.
  • Partner with external partners (FinTechs) and internal teams (product, design, technology, risk, legal, compliance, ops) to manage prioritization, resourcing, controls, readiness, and go-to-market plans.
  • Carries out responsibilities in a manner consistent with our values and operating principles, in accordance with policy and applicable laws, and with a commitment to continuous improvement and process excellence.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously with clear structure and clarity.
  • Ability to analyze opportunities & problems, recommend solutions, and communicate effectively & confidently (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to influence and partner / collaborate to drive cross-functional teams.

Reports to: Head of Strategic Partnerships & Business Development

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or 8+ years experience
  • 3 - 5 years BaaS related experience
Required Knowledge/Skills:
  • Working knowledge of Card issuing, Payment Operations/Service, IT and its supporting Lines of Businesses strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of card and non-card bank payment operations, including knowledge of requirements and back-end bank operations.
  • Knowledge of payment networks rules, regulations, and processes.
  • Ability to write user stories and contribute to overall work in the team sprints.
  • Strong understanding of external card and non-card platforms that provide processing, servicing and management of those programs, and the interdependencies of those platforms and bank operations.
  • Knowledge of typical funds flows for card and non-card programs.
