Job Summary

This Administrative Officer position is located within the Supply Chain Management Service at the VA Manchester Healthcare System in Manchester, NH. The position is full-time at 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serves as the Administrative Officer for the Supply Chain Management Service within the VA Health Care System, with administrative responsibility, accountability, and oversight for the Logistics programs and activities.
  • Coordinates and implements all administrative activities of the service, including budget management, contracting functions, and human resources functions.
  • Prepares and edits official correspondence, including letters and reports, and maintains responsibility for all service correspondence.
  • Prepares and updates the Annual Operating Plan and reviews and updates all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) related to property management, GIP, and/or related information systems, and warehouse/distribution functions.
  • Submits and monitors work orders, attends briefings and meetings on behalf of the Chief, and schedules or coordinates all service meetings, prepares agenda, and prepares minutes for each.
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959
  • May be required to serve a probationary period
  • Subject to background/security investigation
  • Selected applicants will be required to complete an online onboarding process
  • Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP)
  • Participation in the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination program is a requirement for all Veterans Health Administration Health Care Personnel (HCP)
Qualifications
  • Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Specialized experience: One (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level in the Federal service that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of an Administrative Officer.
  • Education: Have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or an LL.B. or J.D. in a related field that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position.
