Job Title: Billing Specialist

At Performance Optimal Health, we strive to provide exceptional patient care and services. As a Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the revenue cycle functions related to patient billing and accounts receivable.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. You will be responsible for reviewing and processing patient claims and invoices, verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, and resolving billing issues and follow-up on outstanding accounts.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual who can maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and billing information. You will also provide exceptional customer service to patients and internal stakeholders, and assist with other billing and revenue cycle tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and process patient claims and invoices
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Resolve billing issues and follow up on outstanding accounts
  • Work with insurance companies and patients to collect payments and resolve disputes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and billing information
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and internal stakeholders
  • Assist with other billing and revenue cycle tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, BS preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in medical billing or accounts receivable
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing procedures and insurance reimbursement
  • Strong understanding of billing and coding regulations (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
  • Proficiency in using billing software and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
