Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Action Sports Desk Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting various activities related to snow sports, summer programs, daily operations at the resort, special events, and marketing initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the smooth functioning of the Action Sports Desk.
  • Train and manage the team of Action Sports desk attendants.
  • Ensure accurate financial transactions at the Action Sports Desk, including managing the cash register, processing payments, and preparing financial reports.
  • Conduct sales transactions using point-of-sale systems and computers.
  • Maintain inventory and manage daily financial activities.
  • Respond to customer inquiries through various communication channels.
  • Support Snow Sports and Mountain Bike coaching and instructional activities.
  • Assist with payroll processing for instructors and rental staff.
  • Collect and analyze data related to Snow Sports and Mountain Bike programs.
  • Contribute to video collection and editing tasks.
  • Participate in photography projects as needed.
  • Assist in daily mountain operations as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient in cash handling and financial procedures, including credit card processing and drawer balancing.
  • Basic understanding of word processing, spreadsheet applications, and internet navigation.
  • Familiarity with video collection and editing processes.
  • Ability to communicate detailed information effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong passion and understanding of the ski industry.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of resort operations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 18 years old with a high school diploma.
  • Experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Snow Sports instructor or equivalent.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
  • Maintain high energy and enthusiasm throughout the workday.
  • Willingness to work long and irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Capability to lift and carry at least 25 lbs.
