Job Title: Director of Safety and Security

At Gas South District, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Safety and Security to join our team. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in safety and security management, with a focus on creating a safe and secure environment for our employees, customers, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety and security programs to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the management of security personnel, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and emergency services to ensure effective response to emergencies and incidents.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and emergency communication protocols.
  • Provide training and education to employees on safety and security procedures, including crowd management and incident response.
  • Manage the budget and resources for the safety and security department, including procurement of equipment and services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local law enforcement and emergency services to ensure effective collaboration and response to incidents.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as safety, security, or emergency management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in safety and security management, with a focus on event security and crowd management.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective safety and security programs.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies and incidents as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle in the state of Georgia.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Certifications in safety and security management, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Security Professional (CSP).
  • Experience working in a similar role at a major sports and entertainment venue.
